About the Partnership and its vision.

The Partnership for a New Phoebus, Inc. represents a blending of the Phoebus Civic Association and the Phoebus Improvement League to create a revitalized community organization that  speaks with one voice for a wide range of interests.

Our vision is simple:

With safe and well-maintained neighborhoods, Phoebus is a waterfront community adjacent to Fort Monroe with a small town feel and rich history all its own, and a place where families and businesses alike can grow and prosper.

The Partnership is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service.  For support, we rely on a federally funded community development block grant administered by the City of Hampton, but we would welcome your support as a dues-paying member of the Partnership.

The Partnership’s affairs are managed by a 15-member board consisting of four officers who are elected annually and 11 directors who are elected for staggered two-year terms.

Also falling under the Partnership’s umbrella are the Hampton Cup Regatta and Phoebus Events.

The Partnership is a member of The National Trust, Preservation Virginia, the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, and the Virginia Downtown Development Association.
